TRCnext – A New Brand Identity Reflects Transportation Research Center Inc.’s Leadership in Advanced Technologies That Are Changing the World

“Imagine First, TRCnext” is a new slogan to emphasize the world-class test center’s commitment to anticipating what’s next in fast-changing transportation and mobility technologies.

EAST LIBERTY, OH – Having built its reputation over nearly five decades to become North America’s foremost proving ground for leading-edge advances in automotive safety and performance, Transportation Research Center Inc. has launched a new brand identity – TRCnext – reflecting its leadership with a full range of advanced technologies that are changing the face of mobility and automotive technology worldwide.

Emphasizing this brand identity is a new TRCnext logo and a corporate slogan: “Imagine First, TRCnext.

TRCnext represents our commitment to embracing rapidly evolving technologies that are forever changing the way the world moves people, products and economic prosperity,” said Brett Roubinek, president and CEO of Transportation Research Center Inc.  “While we will always take pride in our world-class test facilities and processes, TRCnext places a strong, new focus on the unmatched expertise of our people, their curiosity, problem-solving orientation and ability to anticipate what’s next in transportation and advanced mobility,” he said.

As examples, Roubinek cited important strides taken recently to help ensure that TRC and its clients have an even bigger role in shaping the future of mobility technology, safety and efficiency.

  • TRC’s new 540-acre SMARTCenter research complex, backed by the world-class engineering and technical expertise of TRC’s Advanced Mobility Group, provides the ideal setting for industry innovators to validate the latest automated and connected vehicle technologies.
  • TRC has brought its transportation and advanced mobility knowhow to the west coast with TRC California, a 225-acre automotive test site and proving grounds in close proximity to technological hubs in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay area.
  • TRC specialists, with state and local partners, recently completed the U.S. 33 Smart Mobility Corridor, equipping 35 miles of limited-access highway in Central Ohio with a high-capacity fiber optic network and state-of-the-art sensors to instantaneously link researchers and traffic monitors with data from the roadway and wirelessly connected vehicles.

“In the spirit of TRCnext, these developments demonstrate that our people and facilities are always prepared for tomorrow’s challenges and opportunities, ready for new technologies to be tested, refined and put safely into service by helping our clients to imagine – and then achieve – what’s next on the world’s roadways,” Roubinek said.
