Transportation Research Center’s Michelle Fowler
Named as a Fellow of Leadership Ohio
TRC Manager is Selected for Statewide Team of Emerging Leaders
EAST LIBERTY, OH – Michelle Fowler, manager of crash safety for Transportation Research Center Inc. (TRC), has been selected as one of 35 emerging leaders from across the state to be a fellow in the 2024 Leadership Ohio program. Leadership Ohio is the state's premier leadership development program, connecting diverse leaders from across Ohio to promote positive change.
A resident of Bellefontaine, Fowler is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering. She has been with TRC since 2018, serving previously as a research engineer and team leader in the center’s Dummy Management Lab before moving to her current position in 2019. In addition to her management roles, Fowler serves on the executive committee of TRC WOMEN (Women Offering Mentorship Expertise & Networking), an organization promoting professional, technical, educational, and personal connections among its members.
“We are proud to have Michelle selected to join in the work of this distinguished group of statewide leaders,” said Brett Roubinek, president and CEO of Transportation Research Center Inc. “The critical thinking and leadership skills she demonstrates every day at TRC will be invaluable assets for her Leadership Ohio team.”
“It is a distinct honor to be selected as a fellow in this prestigious program,” said Fowler. “I plan to bring to my Leadership Ohio team a wealth of life experiences gained from diverse socio-economic backgrounds across our state – as well as my problem-solving skills as an engineer – to better understand how we as leaders can find solutions that foster meaningful change.”
During their year of volunteer service, Leadership Ohio fellows will engage in a series of intensive sessions that cover topics such as the state judiciary, small town resurgence, and civil discourse while being exposed to an influential network of decision makers. Importantly, they will build impactful relationships with other leaders from around the state with goals for lasting change. Upon graduation, fellows are inducted into the Leadership Ohio alumni network of accomplished and visionary Ohioans.
Transportation Research Center Inc. is North America’s most advanced, independent mobility testing and research complex, providing the world’s leading transportation innovators with a full range of engineering and research expertise and a comprehensive array of transportation testing and evaluation facilities.
